主讲人介绍:Rupert Wegerif is Professor of Education at the University of Cambridge. His  research focuses on education for dialogue in the context of the Internet Age.  He thinks that teaching for dialogue is the best way to teach for thinking  skills and creativity. He has authored many articles and books on this topic  including, 2019 “Towards a dialogic theory of education for the Internet Age” in  The Routledge International Handbook of Research on Dialogic Education which he  co-edited. Many of his books and papers are available to download from his  website www.rupertwegerif.name. From 2006 to 2017 he was the founder editor of  the leading journal in this area: ‘Thinking Skills and Creativity’. He is  co-lead with Sara Hennessy of the Cambridge Educational Dialogue Research group  (CEDiR) and he is now heading up a project to establish a Digital Educational  Futures Institute at Cambridge.

内容介绍:In this talk I will investigate the relationship between dialogue and thinking  in order to argue that the best way to teach for higher order critical and  creative thinking, is to teach effective dialogue. I will begin exploring the  importance of dialogue for cognitive development and then share the story of how  we taught dialogue in primary schools in the UK in ways that led to measurable  improvements in both individual and collective thinking. The recent research we  are conducting in our Centre for Educational Dialogue Research at Cambridge  gives more insights into the links between dialogue and thinking. Finally I will  share a vision of how the use of the Internet, combined with 'dialogic  education' (education for dialogue), could transform education and promote  greater collective intelligence.
